Frequently Asked Questions:
Hope House is a safe place for you to grow to be the best mama you can be, alongside other teen moms and supportive, loving staff. We have a lot of amazing resources to support parenting teen moms.
If you fit our eligibility requirements, you will be able to access free diapers, wipes and formula. You will also receive help finishing school, finding a job and child care, and more…all while attending helpful classes and fun events, too!
As a teen mom in our program, you will feel unconditional support and encouragement from our staff members who are willing to meet you exactly where you are at and help you grow from there. If you are motivated to begin your self-sufficiency journey, we encourage you to apply!
We can support you and empower you to get your high school diploma or GED, find a job and child care, grow towards your personal goals, get mental health support, learn to budget, and so much more!
If you are a parenting teen mom between the ages of 15-21, had your baby before your 20th birthday and are a U.S. citizen (or have valid documentation), you are eligible to apply!
We can help you get your high school diploma or GED, or help you get started with college, but we are not like a traditional school that follows a set schedule. We offer self-paced educational options to complete high school, and we meet you where you are at in your educational journey, offering free tutoring as needed. We also help you navigate your aspirations for college studies or career pursuits by providing guidance to you as you determine the next best steps in providing for yourself and your child(ren).
We do not provide crisis housing, but we can help point you to local resources.
When you come in to tour our space, we will show you around the building and explain our different programs. You are able to bring one other adult with you and your kiddos too, of course, as we would love to meet them! You can expect to see the building, meet staff members and hear about all the amazing programs that Hope House has to offer you!
We only serve parenting teen moms, but we do have helpful resources for teen dads as well.
You are not able to be a part of our program until after you give birth to your first child. But please fill out our application with your name and phone number and we will reach out to you after you give birth to get you involved in the program.
Our on–site childcare allows you to bring your child while you are attending classes or meeting with staff. Children are eligible to participate in early learning after they turn three months old. While you’re learning and growing at Hope House, your child will be learning and growing too!
There is no catch! All of our programs are completely free of charge! Although it may seem too good to be true, we are simply passionate about helping teen moms be the best mamas they can be, and we are committed to do what we can to help you get there!
We believe in you and your child, and we can’t wait to meet you!
