Meet Us
Sara brings more than 13 years of experience to the nonprofit sector. She first joined Hope House Colorado as a volunteer and later became an activities coordinator, a role she held for five years. She then worked with juvenile residents at Rite of Passage as a coach counselor and transitions teacher.
In 2019, she moved to North Carolina and helped start the nonprofit Restorative Transitions in 2020, first as program director and later as executive director. She now serves as the executive director of Hope House Raleigh. A former teen mom herself, she is passionate about empowering and connecting with young mothers.
Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in sociology from Metropolitan State University, with an emphasis on at-risk youth and substance abuse.
She has a wonderful husband who supports her through all of life’s adventures, and together they have three children they adore. Her favorite things include spending time with her family, watching football (go Broncos!), reading, and being outdoors.
